MOTHER OF FORMER MQM PROVINCIAL MINISTER
DR SAFDAR ALI BAQRI PASSED AWAY

 

Karachi-27 June 2005…Mother of former MQM Provincial Minister Dr Safdar Ali Baqri passed away in a local hospital today. She was suffering from cardiac and diabetic ailments and was under treatment in a local hospital for a past few days. She left behind a husband, three sons and three daughters. Dr Safdar Ali Baqri is living in exile since 19 June 1992, when an Army Operation was launched against MQM and Mohajirs in urban centres of Sindh province.

 

Mr Altaf Hussain, Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) expressed there profound condolences to Dr Safdar Ali Baqri and his relatives and prayed that May! Almighty Allah rests her soul in “Jannat-ul-Firduas” and grants the family members strength to endure the loss resulting from her demise.

Members of the Central Co-ordination Committee of Muttahida Quami Movement also conveyed their condolences to Dr Safdar Ali Baqri and his family members.

 

The funeral prayer was held at “Masjid-e-Khair-ul-Amal in Ancholi, Federal “B” Area, Karachi while the burial took place at “Wadi-e-Hussain” Cemetery, Super Highway, Karachi. The Members of the Central Co-ordination Committee, MQM Federal and Provincial Ministers, Advisors, Members of the National and Provincial Assemblies, Office Bearers of all the Wings of the MQM and Sectors attended the funeral ceremony.
