Indiscriminate Firing by Armed Terrorists of ANP At MQM Unit Office
in Gulistan-e-Johar, Karachi, One MQM worker killed and 6 injured

The terrorists of the Awami National Party (ANP) led by Liaquat Bangash attacked MQM Unit Office of Gulistan-e-Johar in Karachi during which they indiscriminately fired at the office killing one MQM unit committee member Rizwan and critically wounding 6 workers including the Unit In-charge. Two of the critically wounded are fighting for their lives.

 

According to the details, Friday night MQM workers were sitting outside the Unit Office, armed terrorists of ANP open fired on MQM workers. As a result, seven workers were seriously injured. They were taken to local hospital but one office bearer Rizwan Shah could not survive and died in the hospital. Six workers are admitted in hospital.

 

According to eye witnesses, the attackers were riding on motorcycle and had lethal weapons.

 

After this terrorist attack, MQM Members of the Central Co-ordination Committee (Rabita Committee), MNAs and other office bearers rushed to the hospital to care for the wounded and ensure that there was no public reaction in anger to this incident of terrorism.

 

Mr Altaf Hussain, founder and leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) severely condemned the attack and appealed to the citizens of Karachi in general and workers of the MQM in particular to remain clam, peaceful and exercise total restraint.
