ZAHID AKHTAR, FORMER SENATOR OF MQM, LAID TO REST IN AZIZABAD TODAY

15 July 1999

Former Senator Zahid AkhtarZahid Akhtar, former Senator of MQM, who died in London on 11 July 1999, was laid to rest today in Azizabad, Karachi. Today his coffin arrived in Karachi from London via PIA (PK-722). His Namaz-e-Janaza was offered at the Masjid-e-Ibrahim in Block-6, Federal B. Area, Karachi. A large number of people including the relatives and MQM leaders, elected representatives, workers and supporters attended his funeral.
