ALTAF HUSSAIN APPEALS PEOPLE FOR DONATIONS

Founder and Leader of Altaf Hussain has appealed to the well-off people to donate generously for the grand public meeting being organized at Jinnah Ground on 30th January. The donations can be made at MQM Head Office at Nine Zero in Azizabad or deposited directly in account number 1000916 of MCB Bank, Water Pump Branch. Mr Altaf Hussain said that MQM was a representative political party of the poor and middle class people and run its affairs from the donations given by public. He said that MQM was actively working to end the prevalent system in the country that exploited poor and middle class people and the donations given by people particularly those who are well-off for meeting the expenses of the public meeting of 30th January would go a long way in its struggle.

US DELEGATION CALLS UPON DR FAROOQ SATTAR

ISLAMABAD: 26TH JANUARY 2011

Senior Adviser of US President Mr David Lipton called upon Deputy Convener of Co-ordination Committee Dr Farooq Sattar at his residence along with a five member delegation and discussed matters of mutual interests. Dr Sattar informed them that the country was passing through economic and political crises and it was necessary to evolve national unity in order to tackle difficult national and political issues. He stressed upon increasing two way contacts between the US and Pakistan and a cohesive economic agenda. He told them that MQM had given a nine point agenda reflecting the vision of MQM Founder and Leader Mr Altaf Husain to the government in order to put the country on the road of self-reliance and prosperity. He asked the delegation to assist Pakistan in energy sector and for development of economy. The delegation praised the agenda and visionary leadership of Mr Altaf Hussain. The delegation comprised Mary Beth Goodman, Charles Collins, Rebecca Lawler and David Murray.
