January 2008 Mr. Altaf Hussain Founder and Leader of the MQM said that
powerful countries could cast an evil eye on those countries that are disunited
and internally weak. He said this while talking to the Members of the MQM
Co-ordination Committee at the International Secretariat in
London on Saturday.Session was attended by the Convenor Dr. Imran Farooq, Senior Deputy Convenor Tariq Jawaid, Members of the Co-ordination Committee Mohammad Anwar, Mohammad Ashfaq, Asif Siddiqui, Jawaid Kazmi, Mustafa Azizabadi and the Members of MQM International Secretariat.
Addressing the session Mr. Hussain said that any country could only stand on its feet when it is
internally stable, its masses are united and have
solidarity; only remaining a unified force, they could have their existence
acknowledged by the world. He further added that those countries suffering from
disunity and discord, they remain unstable internally and get a bad eye from
greater powers.Mr. Hussain said that challenges confronting Pakistan internally and externally demands unity and solidarity in the country, all the citizens are treated in equality irrespective of language, colour, caste, creed, gender, area, sects or religion, all due rights be given to all the provinces to develop the concept on one nation and thereby unity and solidarity amongst the people could be promoted. Mr. Hussain asked the office bearers and workers of all the wings of the MQM to keep a watchful eye on the state of affairs and strengthen their unity and solidarity.
