MQM OFFICE BEARERS AND WORKERS NOT TO REACT
 TO OPPONENTS PROVOCATIONS – ALTAF HUSSAIN

The MQM office bearers, workers and Haq Parast candidates are to observe and demonstrate patience, poise and dignity during the General Elections. They should not react to any provocation by the opponents, peacefully distribute the MQM’s manifesto to the public and play their role to ensure that the forthcoming elections are held peacefully. This was stated by MQM Founder & Leader Mr Altaf Hussain while addressing an important session at the MQM International Secretariat in London that was attended by City Nazim Syed Mustafa Kamal and other office bearers from Pakistan. Also present were MQM Convener Dr Imran Farooq, Senior Deputy Convener Tariq Jawaid, Members of Coordination Committee Saleem Shahzad, Mohammad Anwar, Tariq Mir, Mohammad Ashfaq, Asif Siddiqui, Mustafa Azizabadi, Ashfaq Manghi, Members of Interior Sindh Tanzeemi Committee Nisar Pahnwar, Senator Dr Mohammad Ali Brohi, Joint Incharge MQM Labour Division Syed Mazhar Hussain, Member MQM Election Cell Aftakhar Randhawa and Former MPA Arif Siddiqui.

Mr Hussain said that today’s session is called to pay tributes to the City District Government of Karachi (CDGK), particularly the City Nazim, Naib City Nazim, Town Nazims, Naib Town Nazims, UC Nazims, Naib UC Nazims, Councillors and all the officials of CDGK for providing excellent services to the public and resolving their unresolved and pending issues, which had not been resolved by any of the previous Governments for the past 60 years. He prayed to Almighty Allah for their steadfastness and that they remain safe and free from arrogance. He also praised the efforts of the City Nazim and other officials in maintaining cleanliness during the Eid-ul-Adha season.

On this occasion Mr Hussain praised the Sindhi-speaking office bearers and workers of the MQM Interior Sindh Tanzeemi Committee (ISTC) for demonstrating exemplary patience and steadfastness, specially soon after the assassination of Benazir Bhutto on 27^th December 2007. He paid tributes to all the members of ISTC and office bearers and workers of all the MQM Interior Sindh Zones for their courage and determination. Mr Hussain advised all the workers to commence the election campaign and make door to door visits to make the public aware of the programme contained in the Manifesto of the MQM. . He said God willing the day will come when the Haq Parast will be victorious from all over Pakistan, the medieval feudal system will then be abolished and the rule of public will then be established in this country. He reminded that MQM’s manifesto is based on the slogan “Empowerment for All” because every citizen has the right to life and liberty and our messages is that to determine the character, wealth should not be the criteria in the country, justice and honour should be made available for everyone. In the end he prayed for the assistance of Allah Almighty in the struggle.
