MQM HOLDING ROUND TABLE CONFERENCE ON BALUCHISTAN
ISSUE IN QUETTA ON FRIDAY

 Karachi.. 26 January 2005 Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) will hold a Round Table Conference on Baluchistan issue on Friday, 28 January in Quetta, Provincial capital of Baluchistan. This decision was made in the meeting of Coordination Committee of MQM. Committee reviewed the current situation of Baluchistan and decided that MQM will hold a Round Table Conference to make a collective point of view on Baluchistan issue with consultation of political and religious parties. Committee fully agreed on this point that Baluchistan issue should be resolved through meaningful dialogue and any kind of operation is not a solution. MQM Coordination Committee expressed its full solidarity with the people of Baluchistan on behalf of the workers and sympathisers of the MQM and people of Sindh; ‘ are with the people of Baluchistan and support their rights’’ Committee declared.
 

Meanwhile members of Coordination Committee of MQM contacted with the major nationalist leaders of Baluchistan, Nawab Akbar Bugti, son of Sardar Ataullah Mengal and leader of Baluchistan National Party (BNP), Mehmood Khan Achakzai and other political leaders welcomed the MQM move and assured their full cooperation. Contact with political leaders by the MQM is continuing in this regard.
