The people of Larkana have decorated and illuminated the city of Larkana and its surrounding areas to welcome its newly elected Senator of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Dr. Muhammad Ali Brohi. Eyewitness accounts claim that the people of Larkana are extremely jubilant and vibrant on this historical event and people from all parts of Sindh are converging towards Larkana by foot and in cavalcade of buses and other means of transport. It is the first time in the history of Pakistan that a representative belonging to the Middle Class segment has been elected from Larkana otherwise a stronghold of the Feudal lords in particular of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).

Today, Senator Dr Muhammad Ali Brohi is reaching his hometown Larkana that has been decorated with flags, banners and the portraits of their founder and leader Mr Altaf Hussain to accord an overwhelming welcome home to Senator Dr Muhammad Ali Brohi. Four Reception Camps of the MQM have been erected on route to the Al-Abbas Hotel “Chowk” (Centre) where Sindhi-speaking Sindhis and Urdu-speaking Sindhi workers are playing party song to welcome the people converging in Larkana from Jacobabad, Thul, Mirpurbururo, kandhkot, kashmor, khai, Ghari Khairo, Shikarpur, Khanpur, Lakhi Ghulam Shah, Zarkhail, Ghari Yasin, Hajanshah Mari, Sukkur, Rohri, Pannu Aqil, Saulahpat, Gothki, Sarhad, Unbaro, Mirpur Mathelo, Dharki, Khairpur, Sehwan Sharif, Dadu, Mehar, Nasirabad, Shahdad Kot, Kambarali Khan, Rato Dero, Bangal Dero, Warah and Larkana City to the Meeting Point.

Mr Altaf Hussain, founder and leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) will address this historical gathering, which has assembled to write a new chapter in the history of Sindh province and Pakistan where the “Middle Class Egalitarian Order” has begun to make its presence felt and put a dent in the prevalent corrupt medieval feudal system.
