      p.m., (Pakistan Standard Time)Two
      vehicles, carrying armed fundamentalists of Jamat-e-Islami and Muttahida
      Majlis Amal (MMA), opened indiscriminate fire upon the people, who, after
      casting their votes in today’s By-Elections of NA-242, were going back
      to their homes on buses and taxis. This incident took place at Shah Wali
      Ullah Nagar, Orangi Town, Karachi, Pakistan where the office of
      Jamat-e-Islami is located. Further details are awaited.

      p.m., (Pakistan Standard Time)Two vehicles of Muttahida Majlis Amal
      (MMA) terrorists carrying commando outfit arrived at Rehmat Chowk, Double
      Road in Orangi Town, Karachi, Pakistan and opened indiscriminate fire upon
      MQM workers who were gathered at the polling camp for the By-Elections of
      NA 242. As a result of the firing three MQM workers Mr. Israr, Mr. Najmi
      and Mr. Faisal Alam were injured. They were rushed to Abbasi Shaheed
      Hospital for treatment. No arrest has been made so far.
