We are publishing a list of those innocent MQM workers who have been awarded death sentences on political grounds by the illegal and unconstitutional Anti Terrorist Courts (ATC). These courts were established by Nawaz Sharif to politically victimise the workers of MQM. It should be recalled that earlier Mr Nawaz Sharif established Military Courts only in the province of Sindh to physically eliminate his political opponents, particularly the workers of MQM. MQM filed a petition in the Supreme Court against the establishment of these unconstitutional courts and the Supreme Courts declared these courts as illegal and unconstitutional. Immediately after this judgement, the Nawaz Sharif Government once again illegally established the ATCs under the much criticised Anti Terrorist Act (ATA). MQM has again challenged these ATC in the Supreme Court of Pakistan. To date these courts have awarded death sentences to more than 50 MQM workers.

We appeal to all the national and international human rights organisations including all the visitors to our Web Site to please raise their voice against this barbaric, illegal and unconstitutional sentences of the ATC, which are aimed at politically victimising the opponents of the despotic rule in Pakistan. Your help in this matter can certainly save precious lives of innocent people who otherwise will be sent to the gallows for having their own political beliefs and peaceful struggle for the attainment of their fundamental and constitutional rights. All the cases registered against these innocent MQM workers are totally baseless and fabricated.
