Mr. Nazim Hussain, elder brother of Mr. Altaf Hussain, was laid to rest today at the Paposh Nagar Graveyard. Mr. Nazim Hussain was the eldest son of Mr. Nazeer Hussain and the grandson of Mufti Mohammad Ramzan of Agra before partition of the sub-continent. In December 1995, his younger brother Mr. Nasir Hussain and his nephew Mr. Arif Hussain were extra-judicially executed after three days of brutal torture. Despite his deteriorating health he along with other family members of Mr. Altaf Hussain went into hiding since June 1992. The tragic death of Mr. Nasir Hussain and his son Arif Hussain had left a huge psycological effect on Mr. Nazim Hussain and his son. A few days ago, he fell down due to weakness and was immediately rushed to a local hospital. During his stay at the hospital he fought bravely against all odds despite his medical condition. Finally, in the late hours of January 27, 1999, he died in the hospital. He left behing three sons.
