SOLUTION OF KASHMIR LIES ONLY IN SINCERE AND
MEANINGFUL DIALOGUE – ALTAF HUSSAIN

Mr. Altaf Hussain, founder and leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) emphasised that the solution of Kashmir lies only in a sincere and meaningful dialogue and should be resolved in accordance with the aspirations of the people of Kashmir. He said this during a meeting with Mr. Tahir Khokhar, MQM Member and its Parliamentary Leader in the Legislative Assembly of Azad Jammu and Kashmir at the MQM International Secretariat in London. He asserted that Pakistan and India have fought 3 wars that yielded nothing except thousands of collateral damage of innocent people and soldiers of both sides  

 

Mr. Altaf Hussain said that Muttahida Quami Movement expresses its profound solidarity with the people of Kashmir on Kashmir Solidarity Day and he assured the people of Kashmir that Muttahida Quami Movement would stand shoulder to shoulder with the people of Kashmir in realizing the Kashmir solution in accordance with their aspirations and longings.

 

Mr. Altaf Hussain appealed to the Pakistani and Indian Governments to speed up the process of sincere and meaningful dialogue for the permanent resolution of Kashmir that would improve the milieu of harmony and friendship between the two countries and facilitate the people to live in peace and tranquility. On this occasion, Mr. Altaf Hussain applauded Mr. Tahir Khokhar and the MQM volunteers of Jammu and Azad Kashmir for helping victims of the disastrous earthquake of 8th. October 2005.
