ALTAF HUSSAIN DEMANDS JUSTICE FOR RAPE VICTIM IN DEFENCE

The Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement has strongly condemned the incident in Defence Area of Karachi in which a girl was kidnapped and subjected to criminal assault by a gang of rapists. Mr Altaf Hussain demanded the President Asif Zardari, Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gillani, Governor Sindh Dr Ishratul Ebad, Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik and Chief Minister of Sindh to arrest the perpetrators of this heinous crime and bring them justice. He said that the criminals involved in the incident must not be spared howsoever influential they may be.

ALTAF HUSSAIN CONDOLES GADDI NASHEEN OF THE SHRINE OF SHAH ABDUL LATIF

The Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) called Gaddi Nasheen of the Dargah of Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai Syed Nisar Hussain Shah and condoled with him over the death of his younger brother Syed Azhar Hussain Shah. Mr Alaf Hussain said that Shah Abdul Latif was a great saint who taught respect for humanity. He prayed for the eternal peace of Syed Azhar Hussain Shah. The Gaddi Nasheen thanked Mr Hussain for calling.

MQM DELEGATION MEETS PIR PAGARA

KARACHI: 21^st  DECEMBER 2010:

A delegation of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) called upon the spiritual leader of the Hurs and the President of Pakistan Muslim League (Functional) at his residence Kingri House and discussed with him the fast changing political situation in the country and other issues of mutual interests such as rapid increase in prices of essential items, unemployment and dwindling law and order situation in the province. MQM delegation included member of the Co-ordination Committee Mr Wasay Jalil, Federal Minister Mr Babar Khan Ghori, Parliamentary Leader of MQM in the Sindh Assembly Syed Sardar Ahmed and Provincial Minister Mr Adil Siddiqui. Provincial Minister Mr Imtiaz Shaikh was present from the PML(F) side. The meeting was lasted for nearly an hour in a cordial and congenial atmosphere.

Mr Ghori informed the media after the meeting that the purpose of the meeting was the strengthen relations between allied parties in order to find a solution for the problems being faced by the poor people. He said that Sindh was a land of peace and tranquillity but a conspiracy was being hatched to created bad blood among the people. He asserted that MQM and PML (F) would work to create an environment of love and peace in the province and defeat the conspiracy to create hatred in the people.

He further said that the law and order situation in Sindh was worsening with each passing day and incidents of kidnapping for ransom and gang rapes were on the rise that had created worrier in people.
