TELEPHONIC CONVERSATION BETWEEN ALTAF HUSSAIN AND MAULANA FAZLUR REHMAN

The Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement had a detailed and important telephonic conversation with Maulana Fazlur Rehman, chief of Jamiat Uluma-e-Islam Fazlur Rehman Group. The separation of JUI (F) from the coalition government and the inappropriate attitude of the government and the swiftly changing political situation in the country came under discussion during the conversation. Both the leaders were of the opinion that mutual respect of parties in a coalition was essence of coalition government but unfortunately the inappropriate attitude of the government towards its allied parties was creating acrimony in political matters. They agreed on the point that the present political situation in the country called for taking steps in the interest of democracy and in the larger interest of the country by setting aside political expediencies. Both the leaders agreed on strengthening relations between JUI and MQM and for increasing contacts between the two parties for this purpose. Mr Altaf Hussain and Maulana Fazlur Rehman has talked about international challenges facing the country and said that the time had come for the country to become independent in the true sense and all foreign countries respect the national honour and dignity of the country.

The Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain had a telephonic conversation with President of Pakistan Muslim League (Q) Choudhry Shujaat and Secretary General Mushahid Hussain. Mr Altaf Hussain and Choudhry Shujaat discussed about the fast changing political situation in the country. Both the leaders agreed on the point that the precarious condition of the country demanded that all patriotic political forces in the country worked for the collective interest of the country by setting aside their political expediencies and did not refrain from any sacrifice in this regard. Both the leaders inquired about each other and agreed on maintaining contacts.

The Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement, Mr Altaf Hussain has said that the immortal sacrifices given by Hazrat Imam Hussain and the People of the House of the Prophet in the battlefield of Karbala have created precepts of patience, perseverance and determinations that would always prove to be a beacon of light for the standard bearers of righteousness and truthfulness. In his message on the occasion of Ashura Mr Altaf Hussain said that the incident of Karbala taught us a lesson of sacrifice in the way of truth just has the grandson of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and his followers suffered to give their lives rather than bowing down before the forces of oppression and injustice. “Karbala teaches us not to refrain from any sacrifice in the way of truth. The true love and faithfulness to Hazrat Hussain demands that we follow his teachings and golden principles”. He appealed to religious scholars of all school of thoughts to promote brotherly relationship on Ashur and keep an eye on conspiring elements.
