MQM IS THE ONLY RAY OF HOPE FOR THE COUNTRY: ALTAF HUSSAIN
LONDON: 13TH
DECEMBER 2010:
The Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain has
said that the country was passing through difficult times and “MQM is the only
ray of hope for the existence and security of the country”. He was talking to
members of Co-ordination Committee Saif Yar Khan, Iftakhar Akbar Randhawa and
office-bearers of MQM Lahore Zone. Mr Altaf Hussain was given a briefing about
organizational affairs in Lahore by local office-bearers of the party.
Mr Altaf Hussain held the big landlords and rich businessmen directly responsible for the precarious economic condition of the country who robbed national exchequer, took huge loans from banks and got them written off. He regretted that these vested interests belonging to a few families were still busy in brazenly looting the national wealth. “A few families have made politics and democracy their personal fiefdom but Pakistan is not there fiefdom but it was owned by the people of Pakistan”.
“If MQM gets a chance to serve the people, we would recover every single penny and deposit the looted wealth in the national exchequer. The people of the country would be the rightful owner’s of the properties made from ill-gotten money”.
“Prices, poverty and unemployment are continuously increasing and the people of Pakistan as a nation would have to exhibit a sense of honour and dignity in order to bring the country out of its present mess. They will have to face trial and tribulations, hardships and will have to face adverse circumstances with patience and perseverance because the public revolution would be brought by none other than the people themselves”.
Mr Altaf Hussain asked party workers to keep working despite all odds and not be discouraged by the revile propaganda of the opponents. He asked them to work for promoting religious harmony during the month of Muharram by holding meetings with religious scholars of all thoughts because creating love and respect among people belonging to different religions and sects was the greatest form of worship.
