MQM announce to mark Mourning Day over Lahore blasts

Founder & Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Altaf Hussain has announced observation of Day of Mourning on Tuesday to commemorate the martyrdoms of dozens of innocent people in Lahore twin blasts which occurred late on Monday night.

In his statement issued from here, Mr. Altaf Hussain appealed to the nation, MQM activists and the leaders to tie black strips around shoulders and hoist black flags at their homes to pay respect to the precious lives of innocent men, women and children which were claimed due to suicide and bomb attacks in Lahore Moon market.

Altaf Hussain has directed to the workers of MQM to hold demonstrations in all districts in Punjab. He also appealed to nation to commemorate Lahore tragic blasts and pay respect to martyred innocent masses.

 

Mr. Altaf Hussain has strongly condemned the twin blasts at a market place in Lahore on Monday, which caused loss of innocent lives and injuries.

He expressed deep grief over the killing of innocent people and prayed for the early recovery of injured. He said such cowardly acts of terrorism would not deter the government’s resolve to fight this menace in the country.

 

Meanwhile, MQM Coordination Committee has also resolved to take out rally from Karachi press club at 3pm to condemn Lahore explosions.
