MQM worker shot dead in Karachi

On the night of 2nd December 2005, an MQM worker Mohammad Irfan was shot dead by unknown armed terrorist in Aram Bagh, Karachi. He was an active worker of MQM Lyari Sector Unit 29. He was kidnapped on Friday by armed terrorist and later his dead body was found near Aram Bagh furniture market. While in captivity he was tortured and then shot dead at point blank range. Mohammad Irfan was 23-years old, unmarried and was the eldest in the family of six brothers and three sisters.

 

Today, Mohammad Irfan was buried at Mewa Shah Graveyard. Member of MQM Coordination Committee Dr. Nusrat, Members of Sindh Assembly Tayab Hashmi, Syed Shakir Ali, Dr. Abdul Aziz Bantwa, Haq Parast Nazim of Lyari Town Mohammad Dilawer, Members of the MQM Tanzeemi Committee, Sector Committee of Lyari, office bearers, workers, supporters and relatives of deceased attended his funeral.

 

Meanwhile, Mr. Altaf Hussain, Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement, while strongly condemning the killing of Mohammad Irfan has expressed his deepest sorrow to the grieving family.

 

It is to be noted that another former office bearer of MQM Ranchore Line Sector Mohammad Kamran was attacked last week by armed terrorists. He received 8 bullet wounds and is in critical condition at a local hospital.
