PUBLIC RALLY AT NISHTAR PARK KARACHI WILL BE A REFERNDUM BETWEEN PEACE-LOVING CITIZENS AND ANTAGONISTIC ELEMENTS – ALTAF HUSSAIN

MQM Founder & Leader Mr Altaf Hussain has said that the public rally of 5 December 2004 at Nishtar Park in Karachi will be a referendum between peace loving citizens and the antagonistic elements. Those who want to see the resolution of Kashmir Issue, reopening of Khokhrapar Border and friendship between India and Pakistan will attend the public rally and prove that Pakistan’s majority is in favour of peace and wants peaceful resolution of all the issues. He was addressing the team of workers busy in the organisation of rally. He said that popular and overwhelming participation in the rally will be a public vote for peace and the world will witness that the people of Pakistan do not believe in extremism. Reminding of his demand of reopening the Khokhrapar Border during his visit to India, he said that not even a month has gone by and the negotiations between India and Pakistan have begun and principally it has been decided to reopen the border. He announced that December 5th will prove that Karachi is the city of peaceful citizens who believe in religious tolerance.

 

Earlier speaking to a crowd gathered at the MQM Sukkur Zonal Office, Mr Hussain said that not only the Urdu speaking but also the Sindhi speaking permanent settlers of Sindh will attend the public rally in Karachi in large numbers. The Mohajirs and Sindhis by attending this rally will demonstrate that they are united under the banner of MQM. He said that we are aware that new conspiracies are being hatched to prevent the MQM’s message from spreading in remote areas of Sindh but the people of Sindh are aware and enlightened and will defeat all such conspiracies.
