PARVEZ MUSHARRAF’S TELEVISED SPEECH IS POSITIVE AND COURAGEOUS --- ALTAF HUSSAIN

Mr Altaf Hussain, founder and leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) hailed the televised speech of the Chief Executive as positive and courageous. He said that the poor people of the country are looking upto him for the redressal of their grievances, deprivation and injustice caused by the corrupt rulers of the past and the financial burdens caused by the price hikes.

"I pray to Almighty God to bless you with strength, resolve and determination to fulfill the measures and actions you have announced in your speech and also implement your agenda", Mr Altaf Hussain stated.

Mr Altaf Hussain stated that the decision for the distribution of land to the landless peasants and levying of income tax on agricultural income are excellent decisions as a stepping stone to the abolishment of the feudal system and a breakthrough in the right direction.

Mr Altaf Hussain appealed to the Chief Executive, General Parvez Musharraf to reconsider the decision of imposing General Sales Tax and raising price of kerosene oil and petrol etc. that affects the poor and down trodden people of the country and requested for its withdrawal for the alleviation of poverty.
