At around 1 a.m., more than a dozen armed terrorists surrounded the area of Nine Zero, the MQM Head Office in Azizabad, Karachi. They continued to roam around the area for an hour and during this time they harassed and scared the residents by displaying the arms and ammunition. These armed terrorists were riding on motorcycles and private cars. They also got out of the car and sat very near to the MQM Head Office. Moreover, several people were stopped, terrorised and threatened by these terrorists. Throughout the hour the private cars and motorcycles continued to circle around the MQM Head Office.
Mr Hassan Musanna Alvi, Member of MQM Coordination Committee and Member of National Assembly immediately reported this matter to the administration. However, the police came after an hour when all the armed terrorists had left the scene.
Dr Imran Farooq, the MQM Convenor, has condemned this blatant violation of peace and has asked the MQM workers to refrain from taking law into their hands.
