MQM ORGANISES MEHFIL-E-ZIKR-E-MUSTAFA (PBUH) IN HYDERABAD

After the most successful Mehfil-e-Zikr-e-Mustafa (PBUH) organised by the Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) in Karachi on 1 July 2000, the MQM under the auspice of the MQM Hyderabad Zone, is now organising the Mehfil-e-Zikr-e-Mustafa (PBUH) at Station Road, Hyderabad after Namaz-e-Isha on 3 August 2000.

All the important centres and streets of the Hyderabad city have been traditionally illuminated, particularly the areas surrounding Station Road have been beautifully decorated to observe the Mehfil-e-Zikr-e-Mustafa(PBUH).

On Thursday, 3 August 2000, Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) organised the Mehfil-e-Zikr-e-Mustafa(PBUH) at Station Road in Hyderabad.  Religious scholars, Naat Khwans and large number of people of all schools of thought attended the congregation.  Mr Altaf Hussain, MQM Founder and Leader also addressed the gathering.

• For the Mehfil-e-Zikr-e-Mustafa(PBUH), the entire city of Hyderabad was beautifully decorated.

• All the important buildings, streets, market, shopping centres displayed banners.

• The areas of Saddar, Makki Shah Road, Cant Area, Nya Pul, Hali Road, Liaquat Colony, Khai Road, Phuleli, Preetabad, Islamabad, Guds Naka, Kali Mori, Latifabad No 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12; Pacca Qila, Airport Road, Bhai Khan Chari, Hyderabad Zonal Office, Office of the Khidmat-e-Khalq Foundation were particularly very well decorated.

• A marvellously well-decorated stage was erected for the Mehfil-e-Zikr-e-Mustafa(PBUH).

• On the right side of the stage special arrangements were made for the ladies enclosures.

• On the left side of the stage arrangements were made for the media and press.
• The program of Mehfil-e-Zikr-e-Mustafa(PBUH) started at 11.10 p.m. Hyderabad Time.

• Renowned scholar Qari Suleman Awan recited the Holy Quran.
•  
• Mr Amir Liaquat was responsible for the effective comparing of the Mehfil-e-Zikr-e-Mustafa(PBUH).

• Renowned Naat Khwan Qari Waheed Zafar Qasmi, AlHaj Mohammad Siddique Ismail, AlHaj Khursheed Ahmed, Agha Zulfiqar Ali, Aleem Uddin Aleem, Ishtiaq Qadir, Amir Liaquat Hussain, Mustafa Azizabadi, Imran Lodhi, Adeel Ahmed Sultani, Sajjad Naqshbandi, Agha Gohar Ali, Aziz Uddin Khaki and others presented the public with beautiful Naats.

• The renowned religious scholars who addressed the public were Hafiz Jamal Uddin Salfi, Qari Abdul Majeed Qadir Sultani, Maulana Mohammad Ikram Rabbani, Dr Rabbani, Dr Qari Mohammad Suleman Awan, Maulana Feroze Uddin Rahmani, Maulana Shamim UlHasan Qureshi, Allama Mohammad Ali, Allam Altaf Hussain Alhusseni, Allam Syed Fasih Ul Hasnain Sherazi, Allam Samar Hussain Jaffri, Syed Kazim Shah, Nizam Haider Al Haideri, Syed Lutf Ali Shah, Syed Tajamal Hussain Shah, Maulvi Roshan Ali Baloch, Mukhtar Hussain Arejo, Syed Jani Shah, Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah, Izhar Hussain Kazmi, Nayyar Abbas Jaffri, Maulana Dr Saud Qadir, Mohammad Ashfaq Qadir, Allam Abdul Rashid Noori, Allam Dildar Hussain Naqshbandi, Qari Arshad Hashmi, Maulana Mohammad Abbas, Maulana Mohammad Sharif Naqshbandi, Maulana Sajjad Naqshbandi, Maulana Masroor Ahmed Quadri, Mansoor Hussin Khokhar and others.

• The address of Mr Altaf Hussain started at 12.40 a.m.

• Senator Aftab Sheikh, Deputy Convenor of MQM Coordination Committee and other members remained present at the stage throughout the program.

• The program continued till the Azaan-e-Fajr (sunrise).

• The Mehfil-e-Zikr-e-Mustafa(PBUH) organised by the MQM was the biggest ever such program organised in the history of the city.  Talking to Mr Altaf Hussain over the telephone, the pressmen informed him that they have never witnessed a bigger program than this.

• Mr Altaf Hussain commended and admired all those who had participated in the organising of the historic Mehfil-e-Zikr-e-Mustafa(PBUH).  He specially praised the efforts of Senator Aftab Sheikh, Senator Nasreen Jalil, Sheikh Liaquat Hussain, other members of Coordination Committee, MQM members of national and provincial assemblies, MQM Hyderabad Zonal Committee, office bearers of Sectors and Units, workers, MQM Elders Wing, MQM Ladies Wing, Medical Aid and Legal Aid, MQM Labour Division, APMSO and all others who had participated in the historic program of Mehfil-e-Zikr-e-Mustafa(PBUH).
