DEATH SENTENCE TO TWO MQM WORKERS

The Anti Terrorist Courts established through a Presidential Ordinance last year awarded death sentence to two MQM's workers, Ahmed Saeed and Mohammad Saleem on 21st August 1999 trumped-up murder charge.

This shows the animosity that Nawaz Sharif government holds against MQM, as both the victims were cleared by the FBI investigating team when they were invited to Pakistan soon after the murder of four Texas Union Employees and their Pakistani driver.

The sole purpose of passing the anti terrorist ordinance is to victimise opposition parties, particularly the MQM, because the MQM has opposed the autocratic Nawaz Sharif Shariat Bill.

Already these 'kangaroo' courts have awarded death sentences to 41 MQM workers.

I appeal to everyone to condemn the barbarism perpetrated against the MQM.
