MQM DELEGATION CALLS UPON CHAUDHRY PERVAIZ ELAHI

A delegation of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) led by Deputy Convener of the Co-ordination Committee Dr Farooq Sattar called upon Provincial President of Muslim League (Q) Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi in Muslim League House and extended invitation on behalf of MQM founder and Leader Mr Altaf Hussain for the public meeting being held by the MQM at Qazzafi Stadium on 10th April.
The MQM delegation comprised members of the Co-ordination Committee Iftakhar Randhawa, Raza Haroon, Saif Yar Khan, Wasim Aftab, Senator Babar Ghori and in-charge MQM Lahore Zone Shaheen Anwer Gillani.


The PML (Q) leaders that were present on the occasion included senior vice president Kamil Ali Agha, general secretary Punjab Chaudhry Zaheeruddin, Akram Chaudhry, Dr A Akbar Khalid, Rizwan Mumtaz, Owais Leghari, Sameena Khawar Hayat and Amna Ulfat.
The MQM delegation congratulated the Muslim League leaders on the victory of Owais Leghari in the by-election. Census, holding of local government elections, law and order situation in Karachi, extortion and the overall political and economic situation of the country came under discussion during the meeting.
Talking to the press after the meeting Dr Farooq Sattar said that the MQM has long-term relations with PML (Q) and the relations are not affected by the tides of time.
Speaking about the prices of the petroleum products Dr Farooq Sattar said that even if the increment is not withdrawn in full, there will be a significant reduction in prices soon.
Speaking about the census he said that the constitutional and legal requirements of the entire census process must be fulfilled and there should be complete transparency in everything.
Speaking about the local government election he said that the government must hold the elections soon.
Talking to the press Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi expressed his happiness over the fact that the MQM is emerging as a vibrant political party in the province. He assured that the MQM will have the support of the PML (Q).
He thanked the MQM delegation for the invitation and said that a representative delegation of the PML (Q) will attend the MQM public meeting on the 10th April.
He said that the local governments had performed well in the past and the government must hold the elections for the local government without further delay.
He also said that the law and order situation in Punjab has deteriorated significantly in recent years. He said that the government is not dealing with the issue of the doctors seriously.
