MQM DELEGATION HOLDS MEETING WITH LAHORE CHAMBERS
OF COMMERCE
LAHORE: 7TH APRIL 2011:
A delegation of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) led by the Deputy
Convener of the Co-ordination Committee Dr Farooq Sattar has had a meeting with
senior vice president of Lahore Chambers of Commerce Shaikh Arshad and members
of the executive committee and invited them to the public meeting being held by
the MQM at Qazzafi Stadium on the 10th April. Talking to Mr Shaikh Arshad Dr
Farooq Sattar said that the business community should be given the right of
representation as it is main source of taxa collection in the country. He said
that the economy of the country is floundering and no steps are being taken to
improve the situation. He said that several other countries are struggling with
economic problems and moving ahead despite all the difficulties in their ways.
He said that Pakistan will also have to face the challenges. The overall
economic and political situation of the country also came under discussion
during the meeting. Members of the Co-ordination Committee Raza Haroon, Wasim
Aftab and Senators Babar Ghori, Abdul Haseeb and Ahmed Ali were also present on
the occasion.
