MQM IS PRACTICALLY STRIVING FOR THE RULE OF
MIDDLE CLASS AND POOR – ALTAF HUSSAIN

Telephonic conversation
with renowned intellectuals, columnists, journalists and anchorpersons of Punjab

London – 18th April 2010

MQM Founder & Leader Mr Altaf Hussain has stated that MQM is practically striving for the rule of middle class and poor; an end to the medieval feudal system and abolishment of familial politics. He expressed these views while interacting with renowned intellectuals, columnists, journalists and anchorpersons over the phone on the subject of MQM Punjab Convention to be held on 25th April 2010.

Mr Hussain stressed that MQM believes in the struggle for collective gains as against that of personal or family interests. The leaders of political and religious parties of Pakistan have continued to rule the country generations after generation. The educated and poor of such political parties cannot even dream of participating in elections. On the contrary, MQM has always promoted common workers to become Members of Senate, National Assembly, Provincial Assemblies and Federal and Provincial Ministers. However, none of the family members of Altaf Hussain has ever ran for public office even that of contesting the election of councillor at the local bodies level. Mr Hussain reiterated that he has always held public and national interest dear and never felt any urge to gain personal or family benefit. He said that he is extremely against the familial political system and has struggled all his life for the righteousness.

Mr Hussain said that the people of Pakistan, particularly of Punjab, have tried all the political and religious parties but even today are faced with basic problems. If they are prepared to give MQM a chance of representation then Insha Allah (God willing) MQM will never disappoint them. He said that there the majority of intellectuals, columnists, journalists and anchorpersons of Punjab are righteous and he is hopeful that they will play their role in spreading the righteous philosophy of the MQM in Punjab. At this occasion, the righteous intellectuals, columnists, journalists and anchorpersons paid tributes to Mr Altaf Hussain for his proactive role for the country, promotion of democracy and resolution of problems faced by the common people of Pakistan. They assured Mr Hussain that for the progress of country and prosperity and welfare of the people of Pakistan, they too will assist in the righteous struggle.
