ARBAB GHULAM RAHIM CHIEF MINISTER SINDH HOLDS AN
IMPORTANT MEETING WITH ALTAF HUSSAIN:

Sindh’s political situation, performance of the provincial government and other relevant
matters were discussed; Sindh Government is stable and Governor’s rule or
any political change is out of question:

Fruitful discussion on political and administrative matters between Chief
Minister and MQM’s Rabita Committee and Haq Parast Ministers lasted for about four hours.

Arbab Ghulam Rahim, the Chief Minister Sindh, held an important meeting with Mr. Altaf Hussain- Founder and Leader of MQM at International Secretariat London on 7th April 05. The overall political situation in the country and specially in Sindh; the relationship as obtaining between the coalition partners; the performance of the Provincial Government in the context of common man’s grievances and other issues of mutual interest were discussed at length for more than an hour. Subsequently, Mr. Tariq Javed-acting convenor Rabita Committee; Dr. Farooq Sattar- Deputy Convenor, MNA and Parliamentary Leader in National Assembly; Messrs. Muhammad Anwar, Syed Tariq Mir- Members Rabita Committee; Mr. Anwar Alam-Incharge Rabita Committee in Pakistan; Mr. Abdul Haseeb-joint Incharge; other members of Rabita |Committee –Messrs. Muhammad Ashfaq, Javed Kazmi, Wasay Jalil; Mr. Baber Ghouri Federal Minister; Syed Sardar Ahmad, Sr Minister Finance Sindh, Mr. Adil Siddiqui Minister Labour, Industries, Transport Sindh; Dr. Ayub Shaikh, Advisor; Dr. Muhammad Ali Brohi Senator; Mr.Nisar Panhwar MNA and Munir Shaikh MPA Sindh were also invited to participate in the discussion. The consensus that emerged out of the deliberations was that Sindh Government is stable, enjoys the confidence of the people and that there is neither any possibility of a political change nor of Governor’s rule. It was further asserted that there is no truth in the rumours spread by the disgruntled politicians. While reviewing all important matters during the meeting with the Chief Minister and other participants, Mr. Altaf Hussain said, ‘ people of Sindh have reposed full confidence and gave us mandate to fulfil their aspirations. It is thus our duty that we should serve the people of Sindh wholeheartedly and redress their grievances demonstrably’.  Responding Arbab Ghulam Rahim the Chief Minister and other Provincial ministers assured Mr. Altaf Hussain that the coalition partners, despite the conspiracies hatched and hurdles created by the opposition, would continue jointly to solve the problems of the teeming millions and struggle indefatigably for the progress and development of the Province.     

 

Before the meeting with Mr. Altaf Hussain, Chief Minister Sindh- Dr. Arbab Ghulam Rahim held a detailed meeting with the members of the Rabita Committee on the important political and administrative matters of the Province that lasted for more than three hours. Those who participated in the meeting included Mr. Tariq Javed Acting Convenor Rabita Committee, Dr, Farooq Sattar Dy. Convenor, Messrs. Muhammad Anwar, Syed Tariq Mir members Rabita Committee, Mr. Anwar Alam Incharge Rabita Committee Pakistan, Joint Incharge Abdul Haseeb, Haq Parast Federal Minister Mr. Baber Ghouri, Syed Sardar Ahmad, Sr Minister Finance & Cooperation Sindh, Mr. Adil Siddiqui Provincial Minister for Labour Transport and Industries, Dr. Muhammad Ali Brohi, Haq Parast Senator, Mr.Nisar Panhwar MNA and Mr. Yusuf Munir Shaikh MPA Sindh. During the meeting, matters pertaining the local bodies elections, the mutual relationship between PML and MQM etc were also discussed in detail. There was complete unanimity amongst the participants that the coalition partners would work as a team to promote the joint political mandate for the betterment of the province. Various decisions were made for the successful completion of the ongoing and the new development projects speedily. When Arbab Ghulam Rahim reached the MQM’s International Secretariat he was received by Mr. Tariq Javed acting Convenor, others members of the Rabita Committee, Haq Parast Ministers, Members of the Assembly and office bearers of the MQM International Secretariat.
