SERVICES OF POPE JOHN PAUL II FOR HUMANITY IS UNFORGETTABLE  – ALTAF HUSSAIN

 

London – 2 April 2005:Mr Altaf Hussain, founder and leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) was shocked and saddened having heard the news of death of the Pope John Paul II. He expressed his heartfelt condolences to the family members, colleagues of the Pope John Paul II and the Christian world in particular the Catholics on the sad demise of the Pope John Paul II.

 

Mr Altaf Hussain said that the services of the Pope John Paul II to the humanity are commendable and his fearless campaign for the oppressed people of the world irrespective of caste, colour, creed, gender and religion will remain as milestones. He condoled the entire humanity on the death of the Pope John Paul II whether they believed in Christianity or not but are saddened on the death of the Pope John Paul II. He said that the personalities like the Pope John Paul II are seldom born in centuries who serve humanity, poor and needy irrespective of his own belief, culture and traditions. Paying further tribute, he said that the Pope John Paul II was undoubtedly, a great person amongst the great peoples who fought all his life for the attainment of dignity and justice for all the oppressed and downtrodden raising above the discrimination of race, caste, colour, sects, gender and religion which would not only go down in the history in golden words that cannot also be forgotten.

 Concluding his statement, Mr Altaf Hussain appealed to the people to observe a vigil in recognition and remembrance of the services of the Pope John Paul II .

 

ALTAF HUSSAIN CANCELS ALL ENGAGMENTS IN MOURNING OF
 THE DEATH OF THE POPE JOHN PAUL II

 MQM USA ANNUAL CONVENTION CANCELLED

 London- 2 April 2005: Mr Altaf Hussain, founder and leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) cancelled all his engagements in mourning on the death of the Pope John Paul II. The annual convention of MQM USA, which was taking place in Orlando, Florida, was immediately cancelled as soon as the news of the death reached the International Secretariat of the MQM in London in which Mr Hussain was due to address over the telephone from London. The workers and office bearers of the USA were asked to observe one-minute silence in mourning and prayers for the salvation of the soul of the Pope John Paul II was also held.
