SHAISTA ALMANI AND HER HUSBAND BALAK SHER JOIN THE MQM

Ms Shaista Almani and her husband Mr Balakh Sher Mazari have announced to join the Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM).  The announcement was made when Shaista Almani and Mr Balakh Sher Mazari came to the head office of MQM in Azizabad, Karachi, to meet the members of Central Coordination Committee of the MQM.  Mr Hassam Uddin Jalali, Mr Zahid Qureshi, Mr Abdul Khaliq Baloch and Ms Mumtaz Anwar, Ms Bilqees Mukhtar, member of Sindh Assembly and other office bearers of MQM Women Wing were also present on this occasion.  Mr Balakh Sher Mazari and Shaista Almani praised Mr Altaf Hussain, founder and leader of the MQM, for taking a courageous stand on the issue of Karo Kari (honour killing) while all the other religious and political parties kept silent on this matter.  They said that as a result of this righteous character of the MQM, now the people of Sindh have realized that the MQM is struggling for all the oppressed people.  They further said that the issue of Karo Kari is not only related to us but it is a pure human issue related to all the oppressed people of Sindh.  The MQM is the only party, which is struggling against this inhuman custom.  They declared that they would spread the message of the MQM from village to village and would work as a worker with Mr. Altaf Hussain for the abolition of feudal system.  The members of Central Coordination Committee welcomed Mr. Balakh Sher Mazari and Ms. Shaista Almani and said that the righteous message of the MQM is spreading in every nook and corner of Sindh and the feudal system along with its customs would be abolished soon with the help of the unity of the oppressed people of Sindh.
