MQM delegation meets national leadership on current situation

On the directives of the founder and leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr. Altaf Hussain, a four-member delegation was led by the Deputy Convener Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui visited the Leader of Opposition in National Assembly Syed Khursheed Shah, Jamiat-e-Ullema-e-Islam (JUI-F) Chief Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman and former Governor Khyber Phakhtunkhwa Engr. Shaukatullah Khan at their residences and conveyed Mr. Hussain’s message to the national leaderships respectively.
 
In the meetings with respective leaderships, the delegation discussed the current political situation of the country and agreed to actively participate to defuse the situation. It also discussed mutual interests draw a futuristic approach to their relations.
 
The Deputy Convener then said that MQM Chief Mr. Altaf Hussain was continuously trying to settle the dust between rivaling parties. He said that MQM would appeal Dr Qadri to extend his deadline and ultimatum to begin talks. The national leaderships appreciated Mr. Hussain’s effort to defuse the issue and resolve the confrontation.
