MQM CONVENER, DEPUTY CONVENER STRUCK WITH GRIEF ON BEGUM KULSUM’S DEATH

Muttahidda Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) Convener Dr Nadeem Ehsan and deputy Convener Qasim Ali Raza have expressed his profound grief over death of Begum Kulsum Nawaz, wife of ousted Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif in a hospital in London.
In their join statement of condolence, they said that her death is an ireparabel loss for the country, for the democratic forces and humanity loving people. She had struggled for her life very long and she was at the same tines was victim of harsh criticism as certain corners of the life had mocked at her illness and claimed it was nothing but a planned drama. her husband and daughter were deprived of staying close to her bed in hospital in London.
They said that she was a courageous woman, who stood besides her husband, Sharif in all thick and thin. During imprisonment of her husband, she resisted against the dictator in Pakistan and kept the struggle alive in letter and spirit.
Her role and struggle for democracy in Pakistan would always be remembered in history, they added.
They said that her death is an irreparable, colossal loss for the entire Sharif family.
They conveyed their condolences to Mr. Nawaz Sharif, Shahbaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz, Hassan Nawaz and Hussain Nawaz and prayed for the departed soul.
COORDINATION COMMITTEE:
Meanwhile, Movement’s Coordination Committee while expressing grief on death of Begum Kulsum Nawaz said that her death is an irreparable loss of the country and the gap thus created could not be filled.
She fought for her life against the deadly illness of cancer in a hospital here in London but could not defeat the death.
The Committee said that she was a soft-hearted lady and was very courageous as she showed her capabilities during harsh times when her husband was jailed in dictator’s rule over the country. They said that she will be remembered in history fo her role and sacrifices for the democracy.
The Coordination Committee prayed for the departed soul and prayed she may rest in eternal peace in heaven.
