GENERAL ELECTIONS – 2018 ONLY A DRAMA AS RESULTS HAVE BEEN DECIDED BY THE MILITARY ESTABLISHMENT: CONVENER DR NADEEM EHSAN

LONDON. Jun 13, 2018: Muttahidda Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) Coordination Committee Convener Dr Nadeem Ehsan has said that the forthcoming General Elections – 2018 would be nothing but a planned drama as per the script that had already been written.
He expressed these views while addressing an Iftar-cum-Dinner that was hosted by the MQM UK chapter. Coordination Committee member Mr. Sufyan Yusuf, MQM UK Organiser Mr. Hashim Azam, Joint Organiser Mr. Suhail Khanzada and MQM UK chapter Organiser Mr. Abdul Hafeez also addressed.
He said that, “The forthcoming elections would never be free, fair or transparent.” “The results of the elections have already been decided and the military establishment of Pakistan.” It would implement its agenda of bringing Imran Niazi as the next Prime Minister of Pakistan.
Dr Ehsan said that though the General Elections – 2019 have been scheduled in Pakistan but Pakistan’s third largest political party, MQM is facing an embargo and the military establishment has sealed MQM Headquarters, Nine zero. The military establishment has also imposed an unannounced and unlawful embargo on MQM Founder Leader Mr. Altaf Hussain due to which print and electronic Pakistani media has been restricted from carrying his speech, statement, live telecast and photograph. The military establishment is on the hunt of MQM workers and hundreds of them have been executed extrajudicially and as many have been jailed without any lawful charge. MQM finds no other way except to boycott the elections under this prevailing situation.
He appealed to the people particularly Mohajir Nation to observe a complete boycott of the General Elections – 2018 and stay at homes on July 25th the day of polling. Truth would prevail and the oppressed would rise victorious, he added.
He asked the people, Mohajirs and MQM workers to come forward for the help of families of those MQM workers, who have either been extrajudicially executed or jailed.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Yousuf said that the military establishment is bent upon crushing MQM so that it could implement its agenda of imposing the gangs of criminals on Karachi city and on Mohajir Nation and in order to achieve this goal, the military establishment is going to impose them as public representatives through engineered elections falling on July 25th.
He categorically rejected the agenda of the military establishment and said that Mohajir Nation can’t be duped by engineered elections because Mohajirs are familiar with the faces of traitors and opportunists.
MQM UK Organiser Mr. Azam said that the Elections are never an ultimate goal that the Mohajir Nation want to achieve but the real goal is to attain equal rights that have been usurped and oppressed.
He said that by boycotting the Elections – 2018, MQM would continue to march forward in light of the ideology of and under the dynamic leadership of Mr. Hussain.
In his address, MQM UK chapter In-charge Mr. Khanzada said that the forthcoming General Elections – 2018 are sheer selection under military uniform, which MQM has boycotted on principals. Mohajir Nation would also endorse this decision of boycott, he claimed.
MQM North London chapter In-charge Mr. Hafeez in his address appealed to the audience to extend their financial cooperation to the affected families of MQM.
