PASSAGE OF DECISION FOR CHOOSING PARTY LEADER PER REAL ASPIRATIONS OF THE PEOPLE: ALTAF HUSSAIN
LONDON. November 22, 2017: Muttahidda Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) founding leader and Father of Mohajir Nation Mr. Altaf Hussain has hailed the majority decision of the Pakistani Parliament regarding party leader.
“The decision is per peoples’ aspirations and a manifest of genuine public sentiments for their leadership and a sign of flourishing democratic virtues,” argued Mr. Hussain.
In his statement, he said that they are the masses having sole discretion and democratic right for choosing their leaders and verily they thus produce the real legislative forum that constitutes fundamental and pivotal pillar of the state.
He said that it is the legislative forum (Parliament) that thus acquires powers for legislation and it is the Parliament’s sole right and discretion to bring new laws or revoke or amend the existing laws. There is no provision in the constitution that could empower the military of the judiciary to make, pass or promulgate any act of law except the peoples’ sole representative Parliament.
He said that no military establishment, judiciary or any other institution could deprive the people of their rights for choosing their leaders and henceforth passage of any law.
