PM Nawaz Sharif should expel PTI legislators from parliament: Altaf Hussain

PM Nawaz Sharif should expel PTI legislators from parliament: Altaf Hussain
 Posted on: 7/28/2015
MQM Founder and Leader Altaf Hussain has said that Imran Khan and other PTI leaders are playing a cat and mouse game with the report of the judicial commission. Reacting strongly to the statements of PTI leaders after the report of the commission, Mr Hussain urged on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to expel all the PTI legislators who had resigned in order to maintain decorum in the parliament.
In a statement, Mr Hussain said that the report of the judicial commission about rigging in the general election has been submitted. The country is facing devastation caused by floods, load-shedding of electricity and other innumerable pressing issues, but the PTI is engaged in a tug of war for power by putting basic issues on the back burner.
Mr Hussain paid tribute to PM Nawaz Sharif and said that he had shown large-heartedness, courage and boldness in accepting the demand for the formation of the judicial commission for investigating. He formed a three-member commission that was headed by Chief Justice of the Supreme Court for holding an inquiry into the allegations of rigging in General Election.
Mr Hussain said that Imran Khan and other leaders of his party should have accepted the report of the judicial commission ungrudgingly. Unfortunately, they are always making noise on this issue everywhere. Basic and longstanding issues are people being neglected by the commotion created by PTI members in the assembly.
Addressing PM Nawaz Sharif Mr Hussain said that the PTI legislators, including Imran Khan, had submitted their resignations. They are no more members of the parliaments under the constitution. He asked why their resignations were not being accepted.
Mr Hussain said Imran Khan had been denouncing the assembly as fake during his 126-day long dharna. He had been saying that the PTI does not recognize the assembly as it came into existence because of rigging.
Mr Hussain said that allowing PTI legislators to sin the parliament would be an insult to the parliament as they have already resigned from their seats.
Mr Hussain said that all the PTI legislators should be expelled from the parliament in order to maintain decorum in the house. He asked PM Nawaz Sharif to focus on pressing public issues.
He added that cases of murder, attempt to murder should be registered against Imran Khan and other PTI leaders for attacking the parliament, vandalism at PTV and manhandling police personnel. They should also be tried for treason under Article 6 of the constitution.
