MQM condemns arbitrary arrest of more than 22 workers

The Coordination Committee strongly condemned the arbitrary arrests of more than 22 MQM innocent workers during the mid night of Wednesday and Thursday in Karachi and Hyderabad.
In a statement, the Coordination Committee said that police and other law enforcement agencies raided all over the cities of Karachi and Hyderabad and arrested dozens of MQM’ workers. It said that the security personnel also harassed the families of the workers if they did not find them at home.
The Committee said that MQM was being aligned in the name of arresting criminals and an unannounced banned was imposed on political activities of the party, and should be condemnable. It demanded Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan and Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah to take notice against the illegal and arbitrary arrests of innocent MQM workers and supporters.
