Rabita Committee condemns police, Rangers’ undue activism

Rabita Committee condemns police, Rangers’ undue activism
 Posted on: 9/29/2014
The Coordination Committee strongly condemned the illegal raids and arbitrary arrests of innocent MQM workers from various parts of the metropolis by Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs), especially Rangers and police.

The Committee said that the arbitrary arrests of MQM workers prior to Eid-ul-Azha, was a malicious attempt to terrify people and disturb the peace of the city. It said that the arbitrary acts of arresting political workers reflected that the LEAs had given license to do, whatsoever, they wanted to do.

The Coordination Committee said that the federal and provincial governments seemed non-serious with the issue to stop arbitrary arrests of MQM workers. It demanded Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Governor Sindh Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan and Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah to stop Rangers, police and other law enforcement agencies to harass MQM workers prior to Eid celebrations.
