USE OF FORCE ON MOHAJIR WOMEN, CHILDREN HAS NO PRECEDENCE IN HISTORY: DR NADEEM EHSAN

“The security forces had treated women and men so that they could not visit the graves of their martyrs. Such a treatment has never been witnessed anywhere in the world even in occupied Kashmere.”

LONDON. December 10, 2017: Muttahidda Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) Coordination Committee member Dr Nadeem Ehsan while condemning the atrocities on innocent Mohajir women, men, elderly, youth and children by the security and law enforcement forces on the eve of Martyrs Day on December 9 termed the security forces’ actions and use of force worst of oppression, tyranny and injustice that does not have any precedence in history.

Dr Ehsan said Mohajir women and men, elderly and youth wanted to visit the graves of their beloved ones, who laid their lives for the noble cause of rights for the oppressed Mohajir nation and they embraced martyrdom. They wanted to offer prayers to the departed soul of the martyrs and lay floral wreaths on their graves so as to pay homage to tem and hold them in high esteem and remembrance.

However, the security and law enforcement forces used force against them, baton-charged and injured hundreds of them while hundreds were arrested without any lawful charge.

The Coordination Committee member Dr Ehsan asked under which law the security and law enforcement forces had manhandled peaceful and innocent Mohajirs and why they were restricted from holding sessions of recitation from the Holy Quran and from offering prayers to the souls of the martyrs.

He said, “The security forces had treated women and men so that they could not visit the graves of their martyrs.” “Such a treatment has never been witnessed anywhere in the world even in occupied Kashmere.”

In Kashmere, the forces don not target women and children but security forces have done so in Karachi, he deplored.

Dr Ehsan demanded the government to stop atrocities on Mohajirs and vowed that despite atrocities and injustices, Mohajir Nation would adhere to the ideology of founder leader of the Movement Mr. Altaf Hussain, Mohajir Nation and workers of the Movement can never be compelled to deiate from the lines of the struggle for the rights of Mohajir Nation under the dynamic aegis of Mr. Hussain. Mohajirs and workers of the Movement would keep their struggle alive under all situations until they attain their rights, which are usurped and oppressed.
