MQM STAGES PROTEST AT UN HQ AGAINST STATE SPONSORED GENOCIDAL MILITARY OPERATION AGAINST MOHAJIRS IN PAKISTAN
New York. Sep 22, 2017: Muttahidda Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) office-bearers and workers staged protest in front of UN headquarters in New York against state sponsored genocidal military operation against Mohajir Nation yesterday.
MQM Coordination Committee member Ruknuddin Taj, MQM U.S.A. Organising Committee members Ms. Anjum Arif, Osama Hassan, MQM New York chapter office-bearers and workers, sympathizers, elders, men, women and children hailing from Kashmiri, Balouchi and Sindhi folks also participated in large numbers.
The protestors had held placards and portraits of their leader Mr. Altaf Hussain and pictures of missing and extrajudicially killed workers and relatives of MQM office-bearers. They had also held placards in their hands that carried description of state sponsored genocidal military operation against Mohajirs in Pakistan and inscribed slogans of love, esteem and support for their leader Mr. Hussain, on unlawful ban imposed on him.
Different placards carried demands, slogans such as “Stop Genocide of Mohajirs”, “Help Us, Help Us”, :Killer, Killer- Army Killer”, Sindhi Wants freedom”, Balouch Wants Freedom”, “Pakhtoon Wants freedom”, Mohajirs Want Freedom”, Voice Of Middle Class – Altaf – Altaf”, Long Live Altaf, Altaf”, Long Live Mohajir”, etc;
The protest had lasted for around two hours at UN headquarters after which the protestors had peacefully dispersed.
In the meanwhile, MQM U. S. A. chapter would also hold protest at UN headquarters today on Saturday. MQM has finalized all necessary preparations in this regard.
