African National Congress Member Yousuf Bam condemns Genocide of Mohajirs in Pakistan

“Ward 25 Counselor Najma Ahmed deplores atrocities on Mohajir Nation – MQM South Africa demands separate province for Mohajir Nation”

The 39th Foundation Day of the Muttahidda Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) mother organisation, The All Pakistan Mohajirs Students Organisation (APMSO) was enthusiastically celebrated in Peter Mirsburg, South Africa (SA). The venue of the Foundation Day celebrations was passionately decorated with portraits of the Father of Mohajir Nation and MQM founder leader Mr. Altaf Hussain, MQM banners, posters and buntings. The 39th Foundation Day celebrations were attended by a large number of MQM workers and organizers of different wings from Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban and other cities. During day long celebrations, MQM party songs were played and the workers chanted slogans in support of Mr. Hussain.
The former Mayor of Peter Mirsburg and African National Congress (ANC) member Mr. Yousuf Bam and counselor of ward 25 Ms. Najma Ahmed had graced the Foundation Day celebration with their special presence.
MQM SA Central Organising Committee (COC) member Muhammad Tauseef conducted the proceedings of the Foundation Day and in his inaugural address cast light on injustices, atrocities, extrajudicial killings and state repression on Mohajirs in Pakistan since the creation of the country despite the fact that they were the Mohajirs who laid 2 million lives in sacrifice for the creation of Pakistan as the creators of Pakistan. A documentary on injustices, atrocities and genocide of Mohajirs in Pakistan was also screened.
In his special address, ANC member Mr. Yousuf Bam deplored the atrocities and injustices and asserted that such acts of savagism is even not witnessed in Palestine and Kashmir.
He categorically condemned the state repression against Mohajir Nation in Pakistan and assured MQM that he would leave no stone unturned in raising the genocide of Mohajirs on all available international fora.
Mr. Bam also assured MQM of complete cooperation from the ANC.
Speaking on the occasion, Ward 25 Counselor Ms. Najma Ahmed said that the atrocities on Mohajirs, injustices done to them and their genocide and oppression of their just rights are highly condemnable.
She also assured MQM of her full support.
MQM SA COC organiser Muhammad Baboo warned Pakistan’s establishment to stop all atrocities and injustices being done to Mohajir Nation and stop all the conspiracies they have been hatching against the Father of Mohajir Nation and MQM founder leader Mr. Hussain.
He appealed to the international community especially the African Nation to raise their voices against state repression, atrocities and genocide of Mohajir Nation.
He demanded the government of Pakistan to immediately accept demand of Mohajir Nation for their separate province in Sindh.
He also warned that keeping Mohajir Nation deprived of their just rights would compel them to adopt future strategy of their choice.
Earlier, MQM SA COC member Muhammad Junaid had welcomed the participants of the 39th Foundation Day.
