Pakistan’s association in multi-country military alliance only a deadly folly: Altaf Hussain
“Till now, the conference held in Saudi capital, speakers only criticised Iran - It is an absolutely unwise decision to part with military alliance for petty interests for the time being – In past, Pakistan was also pushed into the fire in Afghanistan and the people of Pakistan are passing through devastating consequences”
Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) Pakistan founder leader Mr. Altaf Hussain while terming the Pakistan’s alliance with so-called multi-countries military alliance as absolutely unwise decision condemned the decision.
In his statement issued here in London, he said that till now, the conference held in Ryadh, the capital of Royal Kingdom of Saudi Arabia all the speakers have only criticised Islamic Republic of Iran, a neighbouring Islamic country, which has always proven a trusted fried of Pakistan amid all hardships. No matter what lies behind the tense relations with Iran by any another country, the hasty approach towards Iran for petty interests for the time being is an absolutely unwise decision.
Mr. Hussain said that in recent past when the Russia invaded Afghanistan, late military dictator General Zia Ul Haque had created Mujahedeen for fighting against Russia. Soon after the Russia was defeated in Afghanistan, cordial bilateral relations between the United States of America and Russia had taken a fresh start. However, the unwise and foolish policies of the Pakistani establishment caused many extremist organisations to crop up speedily, which are still so powerful that they dare to exists and wreaked havoc on common soldiers and citizens of Pakistan.
The MQM founder leader said that today the Pakistani establishment is once again repeating that folly and imposing unwise decisions on Pakistanis but this time they have set a new target, Iran.
He said that all big powers would in future build friendly ties with Iran but an unending and unlimited war would be waged between Pakistan and Iran and again it would not be the establishment but the Pakistanis would pay the price for malicious policies of the establishment. Our coming generations would pass through the consequences.
