Quaid-e-Tehrik Altaf Hussain ratifies the decision and Empowers Nadeem Nusrat to Form A New Central Coordination Committee and Organisational Structure
Nadeem Nusrat, Convenor of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) has strongly condemned the MQM Members of the Provincial Assembly of demanding action against Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain under Article 6 and tabling a resolution against him in the Provincial Assembly of Sindh. In a statement, Nadeem Nusrat said that whether Members of the Provincial Assembly of Sindh, National Assembly or Senators of the MQM have all been elected in the name of Altaf Hussain and his ratification while people voted on the call of Mr Altaf Hussain. He further added that it was not only sad but shameful that not only they were disassociating with him but also tabling resolution and delivering speeches against him.
Nadeem Nusrat asserted that it is the moral obligation and civility of the members to resign from their membership from their respective houses and contest elections in their own capacities as they were all elected by the people who voted them due to their devotion to Mr Altaf Hussain and on his call. He appealed to all the workers and supporters, who are committed to Quaid-e-Tehrik Altaf Hussain and are steadfast to their oath to detach themselves with those members who do not comply and refuse to resign following the instruction of the Party.
Nadeem Nusrat stressed that people and workers were fully aware that Mr Hussain was overwhelmed on the worsening conditions of colleagues observing hunger strike until death, relentless and arbitrary arrests and torture in custody, custodial deaths and extrajudicial killings of office bearers, workers and supporters and therefore, what he said on 22nd August was under acute stress and subsequently apologised to the people of Pakistan twice for his outburst, also. Elaborating further, he said that despite his apologies, these members are targeting and rebuking founder and leader Altaf Hussain shamelessly without due respect to the bloods of the martyrs and outpouring venom against him. He asked that who would answer for the extrajudicial executions of 65 workers of the MQM during the on-going operation, where is the demand for the recovery of 135 "Disappeared" workers during the on-going Operation.
Convenor Nadeem Nusrat emphasised that Mr Altaf Hussain had relinquished all his powers to the Central Coordination Committee in the larger interest but afterwards, his discretionary powers were taken away from him in an autocratic and dictatorial manner and his name removed from the Constitution of the party. He added that those discretionary powers were not handed over to him by a few person but thousands and thousands of workers and therefore, a few person cannot take away the powers and similarly, changes in the constitution can only be made by the full quorum of the Central Coordination Committee and in the presence of workers. Nadeem Nusrat stressed that paradoxically, yesterday, even the Convenor was removed and today, a resolution against Altaf Hussain has been tabled and action demanded under Article 6 of the Constitution of Pakistan against him. He added that step are being taken by a few member under the pretext of saving the party which, is not in the interest of the party and the Mohajir nation, in any way which, is spreading confusion and despondency amongst the workers and people throughout the country, every passing day. Under the circumstances, he said, that the Central Coordination Committee, organisational structure and all the wings of the MQM have been dissolved and the Central Coordination Committee and all the wings would be formed afresh and he has been empowered by Quaid-e-Tehrik Mr Altaf Hussain to make such changes. He said that Mr Altaf Hussain has asked the workers and supporters to abide by these decisions and maintain unity in their rank and file.
Nadeem Nusrat has categorically and vociferously said that blood of thousands of martyrs is seeped into this Movement and the sacrifices of the workers and workers would not go to waste, MQM was one, would remain one, and no conspiracy would succeed to finish it. He stressed to the people and workers to remain united under the leadership of founder and leader Mr Altaf Hussain, trust him and not to forget that everyone can bow down, sold and change but the creator of the ideology cannot bow down, sold or change. Nadeem Nusrat, concluding his statement, said that the family members of the arrested and "Disappeared" persons can meet the members of the MQM legal team in their chambers and asked the members of the Legal Aid Team to take care of the members of the families of the "Disappeared" and arrested workers and provide them all the legal assistance and also appealed to other lawyers to also assist them during this testing time. // End.
