October, 1989, Mr. Nawaz Sharif, the then Chief Minister of Punjab addressing
a joint press conference with Quaid-e-Tehrik Altaf Hussain at Nine Zero in which MQM
announced to support no confidence motion against the Prime Minster Benazir Bhutto
which has been tabled a day earlier in the National Assembly. MQM also announced
it has entered into alliance with IJI.
