Muttahida activist Imran Hassan shot dead, Daily Dawn
KARACHI, March 4: An activist of the Muttahida Quami Movement was gunned down and two women were wounded in Garden police limits on Saturday. Police said unidentified gunmen opened indiscriminate firing. As a result, Imran and two passing-by women suffered bullet wounds and were taken to hospital where Imran was declared dead on arrival. The condition of the two women, identified as Shabana and Mehrunnisa, was said to be out of danger. Imran was the sector in-charge of the MQM Unit 33 in Lyari.

He suffered a severe heart attack during the night between Tuesday and Wednesday. He was rushed to the local hospital where Doctors tried their level best to save his life but failed. Born on May 5, 1937 in Rampur, India, Prof. Khalid Wahab is politically affiliated with MQM.Professor Khalid Wahab completed his Masters from University of Karachi in 1959, followed by an L.L.B from the same institution in 1964. He has been a member of the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan since 1997. Professor Khalid Wahab is married with three sons and a daughter. Prof. Khalid Wahab is a short story writer and a literary critic. He has authored a number of articles on political and cultural topics. He has also authored plays and other programmes for Radio Pakistan.
