He said that the blood of the martyrs spilled in the cause of truth will not go in vain and the movement will achieve its destiny. All those movements whose workers and sympathizers are fired with the noble sentiments of sacrificing for the supreme cause ultimately get their destination. Leader and former Member of Sindh Assembly Liaquat Qureshi
was murdered in cold blood in Karachi today Friday 29th of
April 2011. According to
details, around 12.15 am (midnight) PST, he was ambushed by armed
assailants who opened fire while he was driving his car. Mr
Liaquat Qureshi was a senior leader of the MQM and a very
committed and dedicated worker of the MQM. He was very close
to MQM Founder & Leader Mr Altaf Hussain and will always be
remembered for his services particularly during the testing
times when the MQM was being oppressed after the 19 June
1992 State Operation. His funeral will be held tomorrow
after Namaz-e-Zuhr at the Jinnah Ground at Nine Zero,
Karachi and he will be buried in the Shuhuda Graveyard in
Yasinabad, Azizabad, Federal B Area.

poor and middle class who are already burdened beyond their

The NewsKARACHI: MQM chief Altaf Hussain said on Friday that his party will never compromise on the solidarity and integrity of Pakistan. He added that Pakistan can become the richest nation of the world if its natural resources are utilised in a proper manner. Altaf was addressing a telephonic conference at the Nine Zero after speaking to PML-Q president Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain on Friday. Lashing out at the Punjab government, he said it had miserably failed to protect the life and property of citizens. High Commissioner of Australia Mr. Tim George visited MQM
Head Office on Monday the 10th January. He was accompanied
by First Political Secretary Mr Jon Bonnar. The guests were

Jalil and Kunwar Khalid Yunus. Provincial Ministers Syed
Sardar Ahmed and Faisal Sabzwari were also present on the
occasion. The High Commissioner was informed about the views
of MQM on Reformed General Sales Tax (RGST) and elections to
Local Government Bodies. He was informed about the recent
killings of the workers and office-bearers of MQM and the
law and order situation in Pakistan. Murder of Governor
Punjab Salman Taseer also came under discussion during the
meeting. The meeting lasted for more than an hour. The High
Commissioner was presented the Pictorial Biography of Mr.
