Mr. Altaf Hussain, the Founder and leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) has strongly condemned the bomb blast in the Italian restaurant in Islamabad, Pakistan. In a statement he termed the incident as an act of open terrorism and a conspiracy to destabilize the country. He said that the elements responsible for this terrorism are enemies of the country and the nation. Mr. Altaf Hussain expressed his profound sorrow on the loss of innocent lives including a foreign lady and to those who are injured in this incident. He prayed for the early recovery of the injured. Mr. Hussain demanded President Pervez Musharraf, Caretaker Prime Minister Mohammad Mian Somro and the Caretaker government take concrete steps for the safety of the people and to control such terrorist activities.
