In the world today,
procurement of energy has become extremely important. Those
countries in the world are regarded as strong and stable who are
self-sufficient in energy requirements. Regrettably, our country
is far behind in this field and is seriously deficient in energy.
With every passing day this crisis is becoming more acute.
In order to solve the problem of
energy, MQM wants to build more dams, atomic power houses and
thermal power stations to increase the electricity supply by
utilising the country' resources. It also wants to see
exploration work for oil and gas be accelerated, the efficiency
of existing dams and their capacity be enhanced, and the
transmission system for electricity and gas improved and
efficiently integrated.
MQM wants the private sector to be involved in the development of the energy industry, at the same time ensuring that electricity and gas would still be available at an affordable cost to the lower paid people.
