Muhammad Anwar & Tariq Mir must immediately hand over the stolen asset to MQM: Coordination Committee

The Committee said that the party was making all efforts to get the issue resolved peacefully but since the two accuse of occupying the Movement’s property started maligning the MQM founder with mala fide intention to usurp the said property, the MQM felt it is high time to seek legal support to recover the stolen/occupied property from the two accused.

It said that Hussain had trusted the two accused and had always asked them to remain loyal and never breech the trust he had laid in them but they conspired against him and the party and turned hostile solely after they decided to unlawfully occupy the property that was given to them to take care of only.

The Committee’s Convener Dr Nadeem Ehsan,Deputy Convener Qasim Ali Raza expressed these views in a video briefing from the party’s International Secretariat here in London.Committee members Mustafa Azizabadi,Manzoor Ahmed and Sufyan Yousuf had flanked them and also spoke.He categorically claimed, “Founder leader Hussain is the sole beneficiary of the property discussed here.” “The caretakers, Anwar and Mir fraudulently managed to steal the said property after they were sacked and removed from the MQM on committing serious and notorious things against the party and the leader Altaf Hussain.”He said that the property was purchased from the donations from the party workers from a vibrant MQF – Mohajir Qaumi Fund,platform that was founded by the leader of the MQM to financially assist the party to run its affairs. Mir was the custodian of that MQF and the property titles were named after these two usurpers only for the sake of fulfilling the legal modalities. Tariq Mir had rented out one of the two premises of the said property and after the party sacked and expelled him from the party, the money from the rent was stopped.The party does not have any knowledge as how the property was rented out and where had all the money gone that was from rent.

Conversely,on the pattern of KKF, MQM founder had founded the Sun Charity to financially support the party and Tariq Mir was again made the caretaker/trustee of it in London.Altaf Hussain had lent money to Mir for the purchasing of an office for the Charity. Tariq Mir has not deposited the sum of money he received as rent and that a school that was opened in Karachi’s F. B. Area is also under his unlawful occupation.It said that Mir has been asked to submit all the details and funds to the Committee as per the constitution of the party – MQM. Anwar and Tariq Mir have to realize that what they are occupying is not their personal property but the assets of the party.

Dr Nadeem Ehsan said that news appeared in daily Jang and daily the News on Apr 8, 2019 about a dispute between the MQM founder and the two accused of unlawful occupants of party’s assets, Tariq Mir and Muhammad Anwar. Same day, Muhammad Anwar in his tweet at 08:36 a.m. GMT wrote that MQM founder has been warned through a legal notice from Tariq Mir and him to face the consequence of media trial of these two accused of unlawful occupation of party assets. Conversely, Muhammad Anwar in his another tweet declared the earlier tweet was not from him and was totally baseless.The Convener asked Muhammad Anwar as why he has not yet sought legal explanation from the daily Jang and The News regarding publication of baseless news?

There are 7 million Mohajirs and the property stolen/occupied by Muhammad Anwar and Tariq Mir is the party asset of which the 7 million Mohajirs and the founder of the MQM are sole beneficiary and hence Muhammad Anwar and Tariq Mir are asked to peacefully hand over the control of the said property or else the party would keep exposing them worldwide.He said that the party has full confidence in the Justice system of the UK and once the matter is taken to the court of law, everything would be crystal clear and hence the two accused of stealing/occupying party’s assets should before time hand them over to the founder of the MQM.He said that as far as the matter of Shaheed-e Inqilab Dr Imran Farooque’s cold blooded assassination is concerned, the founder of the MQM and the party has categorically asserted that anyone responsible for the heinous crime should be taken to task and the justice should at all cost be done.Speaking on the occasion,the Deputy Convener Qasim Ali Raza said asked Muhammad Anwar and Mir to prove they were well-off prior to entering the party and had their lavish business in form of an accountancy firm, which they fraudulently claim to have sacrificed over the party.
