DETAILED TELEPHONIC CONVERSATION BETWEEN ALTAF HUSSAIN AND PRESIDENT ZARDARI
RELATIONS BETWEEN THE MQM AND THE PPP WOULD BE STRENGTHENED
LONDON: 5TH SEPTEMBER 2011:
Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain and President Asif Ali Zardari have had a detailed telephonic conversation. The conversation was held in pleasant environment and it continued for 45 minutes. President Zardari inquired after the health of Mr Hussain and congratulated him on his recovery. Mr Hussain thanked President Zardari for calling to inquire after his health and sending flowers while he was ill.
Both the leaders exchanged views on the political situation of the country, and it was agreed that the relations between the MQM and the PPP would be strengthened. They said that both the parties would work for strengthening democracy in the country, and no conspiracy could sour the relations between them.
President Zardari hailed the role of the MQM and Mr Hussain for bringing stability in the country and for promoting democracy. The president said that the guidance and blessings of Mr Hussain were needed for the stability of the country and for the future of the coming generations.
Mr Hussain said that he would continue to work for the peace and progress and for strengthening democracy in the country. He assured President Zardari of his sympathies and said that he would be there to help him for the country anytime.
