ALTAF HUSSAIN CALLS PM GILLANI

TOGETHER WE WILL RAISE THE PLANT OF DEMOCRACY

Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) telephoned Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gillani and thanked him for calling to inquire after his health. Mr Hussain told the prime minister that he had regained complete health because of the prayers of well-wishing politicians like Mr Gillani and the nation. He told the prime minister that he would start his normal activities soon. He praised the prime minister for his efforts for promoting democracy and strengthening of democratic institutions and hoped that his efforts will bring about positive results in the future. Mr Hussain told Prime Minister Gillani that together we will raise the plant of democracy in the country.

Prime Minister Gillani congratulated Mr Hussain on recovering from ill-health and added that the MQM was a political reality and public force. He said that the present government believed in national reconciliation and moving ahead with all the political forces. He said that the government respected the public mandate of the MQM. He further said that we would serve the nation and the country with the help of democratic forces in the country.

MQM WILL FIGHT PLOTS AGAINST DEMOCRACY WITH THE HELP OF OTHER DEMOCRATIC PARTIES

Founder and Leader of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain has said that the MQM would continue to fight every conspiracy against the democracy and the democratic institutions with the help of democratic political parties. He said this while talking to the Federal Minister for Interior Rehman Malik on the telephone. Rehman Malik congratulated Mr Hussain on regaining health and expressed good wishes for his well-being. He told Mr Hussain that certain elements were trying to mislead the public by their negative propaganda, but he asserted that these elements would not succeed in their base objectives.

Mr Hussain told Federal Minister Rehman Malik that it was because of the well-wishes and prayers of various political, religious, social personalities and haq parast public that he had gained health. He said that the MQM was a democracy-loving party and added that we would foil all conspiracies against the democracy with the help of democratic forces. Mr Hussain thanked President Asif Zardari and Prime Minister Gillani for calling to inquire after his health and conveyed best wishes for them.
