ALTAF HUSSAIN TELEPHONES PRESIDENT ZARDARI

PROMISES UNCONDITIONAL SUPPORT TO GOVERNMENT FOR BRINGING THE COUNTRY OUT OF CURRENT PROBLEMS

Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain telephoned President Asif Zardari and exchanged views on the recent strain in the relations with the United States, the All-Parties Conference called by the government and the overall existing situation in the country.

Mr Hussain hailed the convening of the conference for taking into confidence the leaders of the religious and political parties in order to develop a national consensus over the situation arising after the estrangement of relations with the United States and the current challenges facing the country.

Mr Hussain said that it was the dictate of realities that a solution to the problems should be found through negotiations and dialogues instead of getting carried away by emotionalism.

Mr Hussain said that he was unable to attend the conference as he was out of the country but added that he would give unconditional support to any policy made by the government for bringing the country out of present problems.

President Zardari thanked Mr Hussain for the unconditional support extended by Mr Hussain. He thanked Mr Hussain and agreed with his views on the present situation.
