MQM TO HOLD PROTEST RALLY IN KARACHI AGAINST DEROGATORY LANGUAGE AGAINST PRESIDENT ZARDARI

ALTAF HUSSAIN DENOUNCES UN-PARLIAMENTARY LANGUAGE AGAINST THE PRESIDENT

KARACHI: 28TH OCTOBER 2011:

The Co-ordination Committee of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) has decided to hold a protest rally against the derogatory language used against President Asif Ali Zardari by PML (N) leaders. The rally will be held on the coming Sunday at 2:00 pm on Tibet Centre, M A Jinnah Road, Karachi. MQM Founder and Leader Mr Altaf Hussain has given his assent to the decision taken by the Co-ordination Committee

Mr Hussain strongly denounced the use of derogatory and abusive language against President Zardari by Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif and other leaders of the PML (N) in the public meeting held in Lahore. He warned the PML (N) leaders that the use of un-parliamentary language against the president was equal harming the integrity of the country and not simply disgrace someone.

Mr Hussain assured President Zardari that the MQM would continue to support him every difficult time, and it would not refrain from any sacrifice for the sake of democracy in the country. He gave his assent to the decision of the Co-ordination Committee and appealed to the people to take part in the rally in big numbers for expressing solidarity with President Zardari.

Mr Hussain also appealed to all democratic parties, including the leaders and the workers of the PPP to participate in the rally for the stability of Pakistan and for continuing democratic process in the country.
